New to Online Shopping?

Here's a dummies' guide in the form of Q&As for the reference of those who are new to online shopping ;)

Now, lets talk about payment first ......

Q: OMG I LOVE that piece! How do I pay you now?
A: Charming Pieces accepts bank in through Public Bank and Maybank. Bank account details will be provided after purchase confirmation and can be done through:

  • ATM machine
  • over-the-counter deposits
  • cash deposit machine (CDM)
  • online banking

Q: ATM machines also can???? O_O
A: Yup, but only intrabank transactions are allowed. For Maybank just look for the "Other Services" button while for Public Bank.... I'll check it out for you babes later and update here :p Remember to keep the receipt ;)

Q: Uh uh... over-the-counter deposits? Do I just hand them the money and your bank account details? *shy*
A: No worries, everyone has their first time, just refer to the steps listed below:
  • Step 1: Obtain deposit slip
  • Step 2: Fill in deposit slip with name, account number, amount to be deposited (will be provided after purchase confirmation)
  • Step 3: Press for queue number (do this before step 1 when there's a lot of people :p)
  • Step 4: Wait for your turn
  • Step 4: Hand over the filled-in-slip and money to the bank teller
  • Step 5: Wait for the bank teller to process your transaction
  • Step 6: Take back the carbon copy of the slip and inform me that payment has been done!

Q: Where are the CDMs located? Does every branch have 'em? What notes do they accept?
A: Not every Maybank or Public Bank branch has them, click here for a list of the Public Bank branches that has them and for Maybank click here. It's at the area where ATM machines are located. The minimum note that cash deposit machines at Public Bank and Maybank accept is RM10 (Note: New RM50 notes are not accepted as well).

Q: Please tell me how to use the CDM~I don't wanna embarrass myself by clicking on the wrong stuff and taking one hour to deposit the money :X
A: Below are the steps for Maybank's cash deposit machine. The 1 in Public Bank might vary slightly ;)
  • Step 1: Queue up in front of the CDM
  • Step 2: Press any button to enter screen (They are by the sides of the screen)
  • Step 3: Choose your desired languageStep 4: Choose "cash deposit"
  • Step 5: Key in account number (will be provided after purchase confirmation)
  • Step 6: Name of the account number will appear. Confirm it with the one provided by me
  • Step 7: A "hole" will open up
  • Step 8: Make sure your money is not crumpled and put it into the "hole" (Remember that the min. acceptable note is RM10!)
  • Step 9: Wait for the CDM to count the money and display the amount deposited
  • Step 10: Confirm that it's the right amount
  • Step 11: Take the receipt and inform me that payment has been done! Note: The CDM at Public Bank uses a touch screen if I'm not mistaken

I think at first, a shop should offer all e-payment methods the client like to use in his country. When most of them like to pay for example by creditcard, give them what they want. Make more money with the right payments. In Germany al lot of shops using the services from http://www.easydebit.de

Hey there!

Thanks for dropping by :)
Haven't got any request of other payment methods so far so I guess it's still fine? Will try to include other payment and postage methods in the future though ;)

Have a nice day!
